Instead of filling potholes in roads with bitumen or cement we fill them with factory made Smart Potholes.
They come in a number of sizes so any pothole can be filled. The Smart Pothole is just plonked in the hole with a bit of blue-tack.
This changes potholes from a very expensive cost to fix, to a profit making exercise for government authorities.
The average speed of any car can be measured between any two smart potholes in the country.
This works with smart sensors, kinetic energy conversion with battery storage and integrated Starlink communications, so no external power or communications infrastructure is required.
Speeding fines are issued automatically just like with speed cameras.
Better still, the Smart Pothole harvests more energy when a vehicle hits it faster, so speeding motorists provide the electricity required to fine themselves.
