I’m thinking Anthropic needs to rebadge themselves as Anthropomorphic.

The company is actively exploiting anthropomorphic cognitive bias in its customers; the tendency to attribute human qualities to things that behave like humans.

Lately the messaging has become rather strange. They market their own AI as increasingly competent and human-like. But sort of like a terrifying zombie in a cage which we don’t want it to escape from. Or it will kill us all.

Maybe they’re angling for protection racket money. Either way, I’d like to know what they’re smoking down there.
