Once

Recently, I’ve noticed that “recently”  and “lately” are interchangeable.

They are both adverbs of time. Both work with the present perfect tense.

“Recently” can describe a single event in the near past, while “lately” usually describes activity in the near past.

So “recently” can stand in for “lately”, but not the other way round.

Grammar, out.
