Shame Shame

The other day someone genuinely attempted to car shame me. You know, “what’s that piece of crap?”, in reference to my perfectly good Nissan Cube.

This is old school – if you’re more than one standard deviation from the mean, people feel genuinely threatened. And for good reasons; heuristics learned over millenia in cave houses suggest that weirdos and strangers are very dangerous.

I retorted appropriately but then realised I had shame shamed them.

I’m not sure where to go after that. It’s turtles all the way down.
