Australia’s governor general actually just said this;
“We’ve got a growing catastrophe, I think, in a failure to understand and engage with and feel proud of the very civic underpinnings of our democracy.”
What it meant was that most people don’t care about it, or understand its job. I couldn’t pick it out in a line up, or give up its name. I’m guessing it’s a she, ex judge, 60 something, short grey hair, or something like that, and plenty of gender discrimination creds.
Poor thing, needs some love. And maybe a crash course in boy-wolfism. When an actual catastrophe occurs, no one is going to listen. But they never were anyway.
No one gives a fuck. We’re too indifferent to even bother to remove the office of the GG.
