Rings

Various names for the things;

Wheel centre ring locators

Hub rings

Hub centre rings

And the list goes on…

When you use a non standard wheel on your car, it’s likely that the hole in the wheel is much bigger than the hub. Meaning that is hard to get the wheel centred on the hub because the holes for the lugs are much bigger than the lugs themselves. So there’s a lot of slop, play, whatever.

My mechanic alerted me to their absence. A wheel place sent me to another wheel place. The other wheel place refused to add the rings because my front wheels are at least 1mm outside the guard/fenders. Go figure…

So I googled for the hub diameter and emailed the wheel maker and got the wheel hole diameter. Then ordered the hub rings for $10 on eBay, thus saving myself $300.
