Elite

I remember a time as a young person when one of my daydreams was recognition by the elites of the mainstream.

Business, technology, science. It didn’t matter what.

Now I know it’s much better being outside of the mainstream. In order to seek admission into their clubs you have to be like them.

But all they have is their memberships. The rest is hot air and fluff.

The best bit is that they are all panicking. The Internet is making them redundant because there are so many divergent paths to ‘success’.

Also, elitism fundamentally relies on, amongst other things, asymmetrical access to information and the Internet has killed that.

It’s hard to feel elite when the younger generations don’t even know you exist. No one is clamoring to get in, at least not anyone that they fear might be genuine talent.
