TOIP
[Subject] traffic offenders intervention program… Pseudo compulsory remedial courses for serious driving offences…..
Given the costs to society of, eg drink driving, I don’t think the reactive TOIP courses are what is really needed.
Preventative courses are needed where all drivers are required to attend at license renewal time. Cars need annual rego checks but not drivers? WTF? Drivers are more dangerous than their cars these days. Cars have got pretty safe and reliable.
And PowerPoint doesn’t cut it. There needs to be drink driving and speeding simulators (otherwise known as PlayStation 4) and graphic 3-D movies etc.
I wonder how the legal Industry that has sprung up around all this lucrative activity would respond to that?
And while they are at it they could, on an annual basis, assess technical skills which we can all admit are getting appalling out there.
