Many people get a yearly check-up from their GP.

But do you know anyone who gets an annual check-up from a psychologist?

No, we all either avoid them assiduously or wait until we have a problem that we can’t live with.

Possibly this is because one person’s issue is another’s pet.

And the science of the brain is really an art; for example, there aren’t any clinical tests for partial insanity of any sort.

However this must represent a great commercial opportunity. All that has to be developed is some non-threatening set of tests for a rego check-up for the brain. The trick will be to remove the subjectivity out of the interpretation of the results.
