Albo, the best way to quell the disquiet would be to shut down the Guardian and social media so the weak minded can’t be afflicted by the self appointed experts.
The alternative would be to explain the facts to people who have neither the interest nor the capacity to ingest or comprehend.
The facts being; that AI will optimise most industries and replace zillions of jobs. The net effect will be that there will be far less greenhouse gas emissions.
To be really clear, we can’t keep consuming all that shit AND save the biosphere to a quality required for our own existence.
The other fact; no one ever gets future predictions right, except this one.
Oh, and, some scientists are trying to bring back the dinosaurs with selective breeding of chickens.
